Family:
I have five sons. The younger two are interested in permaculture and ecogardening.
About Me:
I grew up on a farm in western Pennsylvania. The ground was mostly clay but we grew a wide variety of yummy food. We had chickens and rabbits as well. I miss that fresh food though here in Israel most of the vegetables are grown locally, (but often heavily sprayed). So we have a nice variety of good fresh food but there is nothing like growing your own food. The organic movement is taking off and more farms are switching over to ecological practices, So I feel like we are just at the beginning of a healthy revolution.

Now that my apartment is mostly empty I realized that if I put tall windows in one of my bedrooms that faces south I could create a sort of greenhouse. I have no land as land is at a premium. I could move to a village type of place which is very expensive to do or I could stay here and make something work. At nearly 56 years old moving is not high on my agenda. So I will see what can be done in my present space.
Interests:
Ecogardening, alternative fuels, small scale alternative energy. Crocheting. teaching and learning, writing.
Favorite Quote:
My own, I say this to my sons frequently: It is possible to wash dishes.
